Combined revenue for Ohio casinos and racinos totaled a record $178.8 million in February, according to reports from the Ohio Casino Control Commission and the Ohio Lottery Commission. The total equals money maintained by the gambling venues after payouts, but prior to state taxes and fees.
The former record was $171.4 million, set in February of 2020.
Last month’s record combined total was also an improvement from a year ago, when the combined total was $159 million for February. Back then, gambling venues operated under an overnight curfew — closing their doors for several hours per night — issued by Gov. Mike DeWine as part of an effort to deal with COVID-19 concerns.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission’s gambling revenue figures for the state’s four casinos showed an 11.3% year-over-year leap with $75.3 million in February revenue after all bets were paid. Additionally, the Ohio Lottery Commission has reported that the seven racinos showed a 13.7% improvement with $103.5 million in revenue.
Ohio’s 11 casinos and racinos have brought in $350 million in gambling revenue over the first two months of the year.
