Tipico and AEG Presents, a live entertainment company, this week announced a multi-year partnership that they are dubbing a “first-of-its-kind marketing partnership.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Tipico became the exclusive sportsbook sponsor of AEG Presents music venues across the state of Ohio, including KEMBA Live!, Newport Music Hall, A&R Music Bar, The Basement, and Agora Theatre and Ballroom.
Agora Theatre and Ballroom is located in Cleveland, while the other four locations listed are in the Columbus area.
“Our research revealed that our customers are almost as passionate about attending concerts and music festivals as they are about watching and betting on their favorite sports,” Adrian Vella, CEO of Tipico North America, said in a press release.
While legal sports betting is not yet live in Ohio, sports betting platforms will launch in the state on Jan. 1. Tipico is one of 18 mobile sportsbook operators that could go live on New Year’s Day.
Best Bet Concert Series
Tipico will be the presenting sponsor of the “Best Bet Concert Series,” which will include 32 select concerts per year. During these concerts, Tipico will be allowed to have on-site activations and special Ohio sportsbook promotions.
The sports betting operator will also provide “special offers” and “exclusive sweepstakes” to fans at each concert venue. Tipico and AEG Presents are also launching a ticket giveaway program with $10,000 worth of tickets for upcoming concerts.

Customers who make a qualifying first-time deposit receive Tipico bonus funds and are given a shot to win two tickets to a concert of their choice in 2023, according to the press release.
